Create peace in your bedroom

Your bedroom is the space in your home where you should be able to relax the best. Sleep is very important and your bedroom naturally plays a major role in this. In this blog I will tell you how to bring peace to your bedroom.

Blackout curtains, this really adds value to your night’s sleep. This way you will not be bothered by it in the summer when it is light until late and the sun rises early.

Lighting, provide suitable lighting. It is known that blue light influences our biological clock and can therefore disrupt sleep. Structural sleep deprivation makes it difficult for people to concentrate and perform less well. Health problems can also arise. Orange light ensures that your brain receives a signal that it is time to go to sleep, so make sure you use lighting with an orange undertone in it and not that bright white light.

Calm colors also bring calm to your bedroom. For example, if you use a lot of earthy tones, you create a certain calm, it is important that you work with the same colors so you let colors come back. For example, if you have a light brown wall, try to do the pillows on your bed in the same color, so everything matches with each other and you work with only one color palette. This way you can completely relax in your bedroom.

Cleaning up, this of course sounds super logical but it really helps. If your room is a mess and you have to step over everything to get to your bed, you also go to bed with a restless thought. Make sure your room is tidy and clean so that you can go to sleep with an empty head.

Minimalist styles, this basically has the same effect as tidying up. If you have all the frills in your room, you will get less rest in your head. So keep minimalist items in your room. Confusion often arises around the term ‘minimalist’, many people quickly think of a chilly and cold atmosphere, but with minimalist accessories you can make a very cozy whole of your room, for example choose to put a nice stone tray with candles in the color tones of your room or a few beautiful plants in a plain pot.
