Last month our team was strengthened with (from left to right) Tessa, Beatrice and Jackie. They will learn more about architecture here. The internship has a duration of 3 months.

TELL ABOUT YOURSELF AND YOUR INTERNSHIP?
Tessa: My name is Tessa van Ruijven and I am 19 years old. I live in Naaldwijk and go to school in Rotterdam. I follow the interior advisor training course at the Wood and Furniture College. I am now in the third year of the program and hope to get my diploma next school year.

Beatrice: My name is Beatrice Piccardi, 23 years old, I recently finished my Bachelor of Architecture in Parma. It was a always a dream of mine to learn about the bizarre yet modern and innovative dutch architecture, hence why I am spending a year in the Netherlands doing two internships, one of them at this exciting studio.

Jackie: My name is Jackie Koene and I am 19 years old, I live in Schipluiden, which is a small village near Delft. The training I am now following is Interior advisor level 4 in Rotterdam. Currently I am in the 3rd grade. I really like photography, music and of course a party.

WHY STUDIO FLEX?
Tessa: When I was looking for a suitable internship, I came across studio Flex at Stagemarkt.nl. The company really appeals to me because it involves both architectural projects and interior projects.

Beatrice: Apart from its amazing location near the beach of The Hague, Studio Flex offers a great atmosphere filled with young, motivated and talented people. Its one of those places where going to work is more of a pleasure rather than a duty.

Jackie: For my training I have to do various internships and I have now I thought that to run the stage at Studio Flex was the reason because this is an interior, you go back a step back and there are many architectural aspects.

WHAT ARE YOUR EXPECTATIONS?
Tessa: My learning objective for this internship is about learning more about architecture, I think it will certainly work. I also think it will be a varied internship by the different projects.

Beatrice: I expect that after this internship I will be able to handle team work much better. I also think that through the various architecture projects which I am involved with I will strengthen my practical engineering skills.

Jackie :. The expectations that I have is that this is primarily an instructive internship and that I can start looking at things differently.

WHAT PROJECTS WOULD YOU WANT TO WORK ON DURING YOUR TIME AT STUDIO FLEX?
Tessa: I would like to work on interior projects and architecture projects like to work.

Beatrice: Currently I am working on two projects/competitions, one about the design of a guest house in Iceland which will have the characteristic of being movable, and the other is related to the design of an Irish pub. The next step will be working on a project in my home land, Italy! I am excited to learn about and use modern and technological dutch concepts of architecture.

Jackie: I would prefer to work on an architectural assignment with a small link to interior.

WHAT ARE YOU PLANNING AFTER YOUR INTERNSHIP?
Tessa: First I am going to finish my final year of the program and choose a continuation course. I hoop through this internship to know which direction I want for further education.

Beatrice: I am planning to start a Master of Science in Building Technology at the TU Delft.

Jackie: After my internship, I intend to research what I want to do after this course because I want to continue studying but I do not know what is good at what.
