“See sights” by Alberto Valentini

Alberto Valentini started his project “Wet paintings from the lowlands” since April 2007, for which he intend to make a painting on location (plein-air style) as frequently as possible. This frequent activity of creating and meditating on art brings him in a flow that supports and develops his creativity. After painting for more than 30 years, and having always been fascinated by light and composition, the sights of the sea currently are his focal point, or as some say, his inspiration. The apparently simple composition of beach, water and air is time and time over again a challenge and rewarding experience to grasp in oil on a canvas, while being exposed to the elements and transferring the scene to a visual form. A selection of his work is now till september 2020 being exposed at our gallery that is very near by his favorite spot to paint. Come by and experience his paintings in real life.
