“DUTCH LIGHT” by Sharan Zwitser
“I have been captivated by the light and the colour of the landscape
Light makes it not only possibly to see.
You can see light itself.
Clouds open themselves.
A moment of silence and beauty.
Time is slowing down,
Colours, pictures, landscapes and light.
A reflection in the water.
And each painting a attempt to catch that mystical moment.
In my studio, an empty canvas and I listen.
I stand up, scratch, fight and let go.
Lines and dots.
The result an atmosphere, a simple colour, more and more emptiness.
Searching for a language , a primitive strength, that painting
I open my eyes
Emptiness
Dutch light,
I am a painter of Dutch grey light.” Sharan Zwitser
