This week our team was strengthened by the arrival of Fleur Lieftink (right on the photo). She wants to learn more about the work that an architect does and will contribute to various ongoing projects. The internship has a duration of 10 weeks.
TELL ABOUT YOURSELF AND YOUR INTERNSHIP?
My name is Fleur Lieftink, I am 20 years old and I am from Alblasserdam. I am at the HMC in Rotterdam during the examination year (4th year). I expect that I will be able to continue this year and continue my studies. In my spare time I like to exercise a lot and spend time with my friends and family.
WHY STUDIO FLEX?
Op internet heb ik veel bedrijven opgezocht en elke stage wil ik steeds iets nieuws leren. Ik was expliciet op zoek naar een architectenbureau. Mij leek het een uitdaging en ik ben heel benieuwd wat ik allemaal ga leren in dit vak. Ook voor mijn vervolgopleiding is het belangrijk dat ik weet wat ik echt leuk vind en waar ik een baan in wil zoeken.
WHAT ARE YOUR EXPECTATIONS?
I hope to get the work that an architect does. I have always wondered how architects work and would like to play a part in it and think along with projects.
WHAT PROJECTS WOULD YOU WANT TO WORK ON DURING YOUR TIME AT STUDIO FLEX?
Because we arrange many interiors during the training, it is nice to actually use that knowledge in practice. I also find construction engineering projects interesting.
WHAT ARE YOU PLANNING AFTER YOUR INTERNSHIP?
After my internship I will take my exam and I hope to experience an instructive internship again. After my studies I would like to do a further education.
