Since the beginning of this week, our team has been reinforced by Ilaria. She will be doing an internship with us for the next six months.
TELL YOU ABOUT YOURSELF AND YOUR EDUCATION?
Hi! My name is Ilaria, I live in Purmerend and I am 19 years old. I am currently studying architecture at the Hogeschool van Amsterdam and I am now in my third year of study. Besides my studies I try to keep myself busy with photography.
WHY STUDIO FLEX?
I really wanted to do an internship far from Amsterdam and I thought The Hague was a nice city. When I found Studio Flex I was also very interested in the wide variety of projects they have, because this allows me to learn a lot. The projects also really appealed to me.
WHAT ARE YOUR EXPECTATIONS?
My expectations are that I will learn a lot and I get a feeling of how things are done in practice, because that is of course very different from what we get at school. I also expect to learn more about how this office works with the different principles and how they make the connections between them.
WHAT KIND OF PROJECTS WOULD YOU LIKE TO WORK ON AT STUDIO FLEX?
I really enjoy working on projects that have more than one principle. Studio Flex therefore has a wide variety of projects. I also really want to start designing. I really like that I get the opportunity to work on real projects.
WHAT ARE YOUR PLANS AFTER YOUR INTERNSHIP?
After the internship I will finish my studies within a year and a half and after that I will follow a Master in architecture in Delft. After that I want to work as an architect and I hope to have my own office one day.
