TELL US SOMETHING ABOUT YOURSELF AND YOUR EDUCATION?
Hi! My name is Kalina and I come originally from Bulgaria but moved to the Netherlands about five years ago to start my higher education in Architecture. Currently I am at the final stage of my Master degree at TU Delft.
In my free time, I enjoy drawing and to challenge myself to master something new, like learning French at the moment.
WHY STUDIO FLEX?
Studio Flex is involved in all phases of a building process and tackles their projects from the different perspectives of Architecture, Interior and Structural design. It goes back to the old principles of a ‘master builder’ who is educated to carry out a project from the beginning to the end and this is what I am to be as an architect.
WHAT ARE YOUR EXPECTATIONS?
I expect through the internship to gain practical experience and get an insight of the processes at an architectural studio that are not being taught at university.
WHAT KIND OF PROJECTS WOULD YOU LIKE TO WORK ON AT STUDIO FLEX?
I would like to be involved in a variety of projects from the architectural and interior design to the structural detailing. Architecture is a complex discipline and being involved in the different design aspects would give me the opportunity to develop myself further as a professional.
WHAT ARE YOUR PLANS AFTER YOUR INTERNSHIP?
I would complete my Master’s degree first and see what will follow afterwards 🙂
